Open Evenings

Thursdays from 8pm

Open evenings are an informal event where members regularly come to work on projects, get help, share ideas and socialise. It’s also the best opportunity for visitors to come along for the first time.

You can get a feel for the type of projects being worked on, meet some of our members and see the equipment and resources we have.

Under 18-year-olds are welcome, but this is an adult-oriented environment, with associated dangers so please ensure they are supervised at all times.

Also please understand, there is no guarantee that anyone will be there. They usually are but it can vary from lots of people to only a few. At holiday periods or when a major local event is happening, it will be quieter or on rare occasions no one will turn up. We apologise if you come and no one is here.

Visiting at Other Times

Except for open evenings, please don’t just turn up and ring the bell or knock the door because this disturbs our neighbours. It has been brought to our attention that some websites say we are open 24/7 but we are updating this on sites that we are aware of because this does not apply for the public or members who are not yet key-holders.

If you are a visitor and can’t come to an open evening, you can contact us to see if it is possible to arrange a visit at another time.

If you are non-key-holder member, please use Slack to find out when other members are there or are planning to go.
